Purchased by the Town of Oakville, Hixon Park is located at the corner of Hixon Street and Nyla Court and is complimented by 14 new residential lots. The Park includes shade trees, shade shelter, half basketball court, a variety of seating, junior and senior playgrounds, ornamental planting, irrigation, grading (swales, catch basins), and park lighting. A unique aspect of this park is SDG landscape architects incorporated the preservation of a large mature existing tree in the centre of the park that not only adds to the aesthetic quality of the park but provides much needed shade as well.
