Emily Hale

Landscape Designer
BLA

Emily graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a minor in Business. During her undergrad, she studied landscape architecture and urban design at a broad range of scales, gaining exposure to a variety of projects and methods which has fostered her enjoyment of all types of design. Emily’s minor in business gave her an appreciation of marketing, leadership, collaboration and business operations, and how they apply to the field of landscape architecture. Residential landscape design experience has provided her with hands-on analysis and design skills.

Emily has a passion for creating spaces that contribute to the sustainability of cities, with interests in stormwater management, intensifying greenspace, and transit-oriented development. What excites her most about landscape architecture is the opportunity to learn and be creative. While working on a wide variety of projects and collaborating with others, she plans to develop her skills while exploring the limitless creativity and opportunities that comes with each new project.

Emily enjoys spending her free time outside, hiking, running and wakeboarding. She also enjoys getting creative with cooking, and reading. She is working towards becoming a fully licensed member of the OALA, something she is really looking forward to accomplishing.
