Earlier this year, the City of Toronto released a design competition for the site located at 34 Hanna Avenue. The goal of the competition was to develop a site program to animate the location, and create a public park destination.

For this competition, we teamed up with our friends at Rasa Design, along with our esteemed Senior Advisor, Walter Kehm, to develop our submission. Our team had an incredible time exploring the idea of creating a fully forested space within a high-density urban environment. Liberty Village serves as a social hub with a long history of industry and manufacturing. Our goal was to reimagine the site by introducing a forested canopy that fosters a new, immersive experience.
