Earning both a diploma in Landscape Design from Fanshawe College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph, Claire has developed a strong balance of technical skills and theoretical knowledge. Her aspiration to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture was reinforced by her love for the outdoors and design. Claire brings to Seferian a background in the residential design-build sector, allowing her to see the connection from paper to plan. She is also currently working towards her professional designation with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA).
Influenced by her childhood memories of family camping vacations, Claire’s passions lie in ecological and environmental design. She believes everyone should find a connection to nature, particularly the important role it plays in physical and mental wellbeing. This firm belief transfers into her work, in hopes that she can create spaces where people can gather to appreciate their natural surroundings.
Outside of the office Claire finds time for gardening, hiking in the Halton area and adventuring to new spots for kayaking. Keeping with tradition, she also loves visiting Conservation Areas and Provincial Parks to pitch a tent and appreciate time spent away from the city.
