Kathy Zhu

Landscape Architectural Intern

Kathy is a student at University of Toronto’s Master of Landscape Architecture program. She has an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning, which gives her a diverse professional background working for municipalities (urban and rural), consulting, and land development companies. Her urban planning experience includes reviewing development applications, writing planning reports, and contributing to municipal reports such as heritage impact assessments, conservation master plans, and urban design briefs. She also has experience working in land development, where she created conceptual layouts for potential new developments and ensured that they meet urban design guidelines.

Kathy’s passion for landscape architecture is the continuation of a lifelong fascination with place-making. She has a love for parks, cities, and everything in between. She is also actively involved in the landscape architecture industry through participation in several OALA committees. Her enthusiasm for lifelong learning keeps her at the forefront of landscape architecture ideas.
