Seferian Design Group was retained by the D’Orazio’s to create a rear yard oasis for their property. The site was demanding as the rear property housed a basement walkout from the house. This grade change coupled with a designated conservation area abutting the rear property line made it very difficult to manage equipment and materials.
The pool showcased monolithic natural stone slab steps that descended into the pool. The bar area incorporated the same monolithic slabs in the construction of the outdoor kitchen area.
The main floor walkout was designed with a glass railing to take in the spectacular pool view from any room in the house. This balcony area also housed yet another cooking area that is adjacent to the kitchen within the house. This allows for multiple events to take place simultaneously without the chance of interrupting each other.
