Fairfield Park

Hamilton, Ontario

For this project, Seferian Design Group was retained as the lead consultant by the City of Hamilton to convert an old school site into a public park. Located at the corner of Barton Street East and Weir Street, the existing site consisted of a buried old school foundation and asphalt parking lot connected to a small existing playground. Working closely with City staff and our consultant team, Seferian Design Group created the functional plan and then carried the project forward to the construction drawing phase. The new park features consisted of a multi-use court, a small splash pad and a park pavilion and allowance was also made for a future community garden.
