Borer’s Creek Trail Alignment

(Part of Flamborough Power Centre) – Waterdown, ON

In 2005, Seferian Design Group was retained to develop an overall landscape concept for the Flamborough Power Centre in Waterdown. The Borer’s Creek Trail Alignment formed part of this overall concept. Located north of the commercial development and extending west to the culvert under Highway 6 and east towards the existing residential neighbourhood, the trail also connects to Highway 5 through a pipeline easement block.

Taking into account existing “desire lines” through the area, existing trees and existing grades, Seferian Design Group designed the alignment of a three meter wide granular path. The overall concept included native plantings, armour stone seating nodes, and signage to enhance the trail. Construction completed in 2008 and the trail was opened to the public.
