Liberty Village BIA - Toronto Association of BIAs Recognition Awards

Liberty Village BIA

The Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) held its 2nd Annual Toronto BIA Recognition Awards at a ceremony in November 2012 at the St. Lawrence Hall. These awards recognize achievements and accomplishments made by the 74 Toronto BIAs towards beautifying and promoting our neighbourhoods and in supporting business and employment.

The Liberty Village BIA was one of the award recipients, being recognized with the Gateway Award. This award was given to the Liberty Village BIA in recognition of the capital improvements that we made at the corner of King Street West and Atlantic Avenue – a gateway entrance into Liberty Village. The Liberty Village BIA is honoured to receive this special recognition from our BIA peers.

The King Atlantic Gateway project was a partnership with the City of Toronto and included the considerable talents of KAVE architects, Seferian Design Group, Mopal Construction and artist Michael Golland. First Capital Realty and Urbancorp provided financial support towards the public art installation.
